I have recieved a cold call from a company called Anglo American Asset Management suggesting that,as a small shareholder, I should place my portfolio in their hands to make money in the US mrkets, I am concerned about their credibility - can anyone advise?

    they are crooks....... any cold caller is worthless

    Hi bob (and rose) & welcome to the site :).

    Alert tony.hetherington@mailonsunday.co.uk . He does a good line in exposing these people - especially the ones that pop up again and again using different companies.

    But MSErs know to give these people the cold shoulder, as the posters above suggest.

    My take on any cold callers is that, if they are truly good at what they do, they wouldn't need to be cold calling.

    If it sounds too good to be true then it usually is.
