Hello all.

My daughter is getting phone calls and texts from these numbers constantly, she is fourteen and very responsible i do know she has not entered any numbers onto any websites. She does not answer the calls or respond to the text messages.

she and we are very confused as to the origin of these calls and we would like to know how to stop them coming again....any ideas.

the network is Vodafone, would it just be a case of getting in contact with them?

Thankyou.

I have also had a couple of calls from a super long number (like what you listed) though it wasnt one of those numbers, they have long since stoped though.

what phone does she have as you can get apps (some of them free) to block unwanted calls and texts for most phones?

you can also call the network and ask them to block those numbers, or as a last resort to get a new mobile number.
  • Probably from Nigeria - 234 is the dial code for that.Has she signed up for ringtones, wallpapers, or competitions etc from the phone via text?

    Thankyou both for your replies.

My daughter does not...(and i can say that with complete confidence) download music or anything else, she does not have a phone that uses Apps. she also has not signed up for any ringtones or anything like that.

what i have noticed at the bottom of the Text messages is that there are no stop numbers that you can send to them, like most other ligitimate sites have.

I think the best route to go down is to get call barring,or even just change the sim card.

Thankyou both for your replies and help.

for future reference the standard stop message is either STOP or STOP ALL in a reply message to the number, obviously if they are not legitimate that is unlikely to work.
