I have been informed they aren not coming in Europe for Xmas. However I have a friend that will be visiting the U.S this year... would a U.S version be compatible in the UK???

PS3 games are multi-region, films won't be.
Probably be very limited stock though

The games will play from all over the world on any PS3
Movies which will be on blue ray disks wont be. and will be limited by the curent region codeing placed on DVD's the US will be R1 the UK and europe is R2. the best place to buy from is Japan as theyare also R2
The console itself with the correct power convertor/adaptor will wok in the UK. I am unsure aboutt he PAL and NTSC thing that could be the downside as the US is NTSC and the UK is PAL. On the other side most TV's will display an NTSC picture its just the possibility that yours wont, TV's that wont do actually display somthing it is usually black and white.0
