FTB, brokers and post office mortgage

Hi guys.
I am a FTB and I have been to about 6 mortgage advisors. Be they Estate agent ones, L&C, independants etc.
they all come back with the same ish mortgage.
Thing is, I can get an 85% LTV with the post office at a better rate but im a little (very) wary about going it alone.
All the advice is to go with a broker for support but none of the brokers seem to deal with the post office.
What would be the difference of me doing it by my self?
has anyone had experieence with the Post Office Mortgae people?
I'ts a mine field out there and I'm a littleuncertain but dont want to pay over the odds on repayment if I can get a whole percent off doing it my self .
any help is appreciated
thanks

You have to make the choice really.
Is the safety of going through a broker worth the difference in payments, maybe add it up over the product period to find out how much extra it will cost you.
Will the Post Office chase the offer through and give you updates?
Will they chase the Solicitors for you?
Will the Chase the Estate Agents for you?
Will they advise you on what protection you need?
You can see what I am getting at there. If you are happy to sort that (and more) out yourself as well as the mortgage application, then you need a non-advised sale and can do it yourself.I am a Mortgage Adviser

The fact that you are so wary and seemingly unsure would indicate that you could do with the help of a broker. Make sure the broker is 'Whole of Market' and do not take advice off a bank's own broker as they will advise only on the bank's products.
If there is a better deal direct rather than a broker product, a good broker would recommend it and help you as best they can. You may need to pay a fee for this but it would usually be worth it if there are savings to be made.
You need to be 100% sure of a lender's criteria before applying yourself. There are so many things to take into acount.
