Anybody else is experiencing this recently?
Extra tabs get opened sometimes, pretty randomly, usually as a result of some action like refreshing. They are always about some Google special search engines (lawyers, property etc.).
Something that I really wouldn't expect from a reputable company like Google. Very annoying.
ETA: I have all pop-ups blocked with very few exceptions that don't include Google.

Sounds fishy to me. the FF pop up blocker is very effective. I'd suspect you've caught something nasty0

Hi
The usual advice here is to update and run a virus scanner such as malwarebytes and post the log.
Then run HiJackThis and post the log.Never interrupt your enemy when he is making a mistake.0
