URGENT HELP NEEDED. CORTIX COMPANY HAS SCAMMED US OUT OF 7k

Hi i am in fact writing this for my mum and dad in france. Cortix is a europian company, and covers france, uk, ect.....

Basically, mum and dad got a call from a man from CORTIX wanting to run a website for there company for a small fee every month. Dad said ok and signed the paper work the next day for a 4 year contract.

The short of it is that they have provided a website, but NOT for my parents gite complex, but istead have linked there names to a "bakery" therfor giving the impression they have "created" a website for them, as in the contract. Mum kep calling them to ask when they would fix the web address and give them there own site they are paying monthly for. They said they would sort it out, but not once in 2 years have they tried. they are ignoring my parents e-mails, and letters. Mum even sent a recorded delivery letter, that they "apparently" never recieved, but was signed for!

UNKNOWN to my parents the day they signed the paperwork it was sent to the baliffs. The baliffs paid CORTIX £7 thousend pounds (euros) for my parents account. As my mum and dad were paying for a website monthly, and they wernt recieving the product they had payed for, mum cancled the direct debit. As soon as she did this she was taken to court (altho they had NO idea, as they didnt recieve any letter stating so, and why would they, they had NO idea it had been passed onto the baliffs the same day they signed the paperwork!!)

she recieved a letter this morning stateing that the baliffs are coming to there complex to seaze £7thousend pounds of goods/money tommorrow

They have NO idea what to do. In france if the baliffs are called they have NO power. The police DONT take any interest as its nothing to do with them, and if my mum and dad refuse entry the baliffs call the police, and the police let them entre. If mum and dad refuse still, then they will get arrested.

There are thousends of people that have been scammed the same as my mum and dad, but nothing can be done as the contract is watertight.

Please please advise and please can someone help?

  • Hi,
    Type ADCAPI on Google.fr
You Will find help from other very unhappy clients.
    good luck
  • Beware of Cortix. They will make you sign a contract where you pay anything from £150 and more per month for 4 or 5 or more years. Their contract is waterproof so do not sign. Please cut and paste this every where.

The police will not be interested.

Balliffs (with certain exceptions) can only enter via peaceful means... tell your parents to refuse entry! If they however allow entry, then when they re-visit I believe they can force entry so it's important to refuse entry on the very first visit.

Also lock windows, doors and any other potential point of entry as they can enter the property if you are not home via such means.

Are you sure they have a CCJ and this is in the hands of Bailiffs? And not just debt collectors? The difference is significant....

If a CCJ you should also contact the court, you should be able to apply to have it heard again (there will be a fee).
Check what address they issued the court claim to as I believe they must send papers to the last known address - and had they done this you should have received the summons, allocation questionnaire etc.

If it is debt collectors then they have no more rights than an ice cream man so politely tell them to shove their demands somewhere the sun doesn't shine/
