Sometimes it seems that the going is just too rough.
And things go wrong no matter what I do.
Now and then it seems that life is just too much.
But you've got the love I need to see me through.

Hi, one of my boys, age 3 and a half, has asked for a violin, has anyone seen one please? I would be really grateful for any links.

You need a 1/8 or 1/4 size for his age. You are going to find them in a 'proper' music shop (we paid £80 for DD 1/2 size in colour. Don't be tempted to get a 2nd hand one from eBay, we did and it was broken but the listing never said.

Popped into Tesco near Durham today and they had a good selection of Monster High Dolls all in pink or blue (if that helps anyone)

They also has a Spot Splatter Splash Bitty Buttons doll, I couldn't believe my luck so I grabbed her !! They also had pillow featherbed, peanut big top and the crumbs one (don't remember her name)

They had a good selection of toys reduced to make ideal stocking fillers, playdoh sets, etc all quite cheap and half price

I also forgot but I picked up a Crayola Doodle Penguin at Toys R Us with a fiver off it, got it for 19.99 rather than 24.99. I'm not sure if it's available cheaper anywhere else but that's the cheapest I've seen it so far :)

DD1 has just written her christmas list with none of this on it!!! So I am now using my psychology skills to make her want what is hidden in the loft!

Same here! DD wants Bindeez and Bendaroos and some Barbie Fashion set but not a clue what it is and I'm not going to push as a quick Google suggests £50+.

Have to admit I must be lucky as DD hasn't mentioned one thing in this thread but still gutted that all the bargains I've gotten aren't on her mind. I will make her want a gorgeous M&S woollen coat, a Lego sorting box, a plush Hello Kitty and a Biggest Littlest pet shop amongst other things!
