Popular Christmas Toys 2010 & where to find them.

Just got Draculaura- was surprised to find the store had one of each doll! I'm hoping to get Clawdeen and Frankie as well next month. Not too fussed about the 2-pack as I'm not keen on Cleo or Deuce.

I've given in and opened them much against boyfriend's insistance that they'll be worth lots of money in the future and should be kept mint in box! Glad I did anyway as the attention to detail is amazing.

We haven't mentioned those gorgeous 'I say what you say' chatimals for a while. For those who haven't heard of them, you press their paws and they record your voice for 5 seconds then repeat what you've said over and over for 30 seconds in random high and low squeaky hamster or meerkat voices and their little lips move too Awwwwwwwwwwwww. This is the link to the hamster you tube video which shows the 3 chatimal hamsters Sophie (brown and white), Max (grey and white) and Oscar (ginger and white).

:rotfl: I did wonder when the chatimals were going to reappear. I'm so pleased I've got ours, they are fab ! Smyths in Durham had a really big supply last week although I guess that could have changed but they were back up to full price. Daughter had a great time playing with them so she'll love hers. Argos (locally) haven't had stock in for a while and nor have Lambs Toy Shop.

Its going to be like last year as far as Monster High Dolls are concerned, TRU and Argos have obviously timed their stock delivery to coincide with the launch of the tv advertising campaign and short clips on Nickelodeon, and people will be dithering whether to get some or not. Then they will sell out across the country (like the Go Go hamsters did) and there will be people on here desperate to get them with the usual 'well I saw them in October when there were loads of them, and I wish I'd got them then...'

Sadly me I collect alternative looking dolls and just can't resist these! Saying that my boyfriend very carefully opened the boxes and snipped the dolls out, then had a good look at them before finally handing them over, going "oooooooh these are quite cool... all this opening boxes and sharing excitement over dolls is good practice for when I have a daughter!"

If I do ever have a daughter I'm sure I will let her play with my awesome 'retro' dolls
