Maxi I also remember you from last year, you were so very helpful with the hamsters and it is very much appreciated, the hamsters were not as played with as I would have liked :D

With the monster high dolls there are 5 and one boy which one is going to be the most popular because I have 2 nieces don't really want to buy them all?:D[/QUOTE

haven't seen the boy one yet :rotfl:

I saw the Monster High dolls a few weeks ago and want all of them- can't believe they're the next hot christmas toy so it's highly unlikely I'll get any for christmas/birthday (typically early January!)

As always I see a lot of cunning sellers have scooped as many up as possible and are selling them at double the recommended retail price :( If anyone sees some Monster High dolls in the Birmingham area, please let me know and I will love you forever :D

They're all pretty equally popular. The boy (Deuce Gorgon) doll comes in a double pack with Cleo De Nile, which I haven't seen in the UK yet.

If you're lucky enough to have an Argos near by that still has a couple in stock then you don't have to choose which ones you get as they come assorted :)

Have you actually looked? I've just checked Argos online and several of the Birmingham stores have them.
    http://www.argos.co.uk/webapp/wcs/stores/servlet/Search?storeId=10001&catalogId=1500002451&langId=-1&searchTerms=MONSTER+DOLLS

You can also get them at Smyths online as per my previous post on the last page

If you haven't used Argos online before, you just go to the product, search by your postcode for stock availability, they show your two nearest stores. Then click on check other stores and you will see about 8 in your area which you can check. It tells you if the product is in stock and how many, and you can click and reserve and pick them and pay within 24hrs.

Yes but what you can do is go to the till or customer service desk and ask to see the product before you buy. They usually bring whatever selection they have and you can choose the doll you want - if they have it.

I have yes. I live in the city centre, with no car so the only ones open to me are those in the city centre, all out of stock except for one in the Pallasades but I don't think I'll have a chance to get to it before it's gone (plus I entered a comp to win a set that ends next week so I want to try and hang on in case I win!) I could travel to the other couple of stores but it seems a bit daft to pay for train/bus fares when they'll probably be widely available after Christmas.

Last time I checked Smyths online didn't have all four and I'd rather wait a while before spending unnecessary postage at several online stores. Ideally I'd like to get them in person. They had two when I checked Monday and now they only have Draculaura. I still might get her though as she is a favourite.

As for your other comment I am aware that you can simply ask for a different one- my point to victory was that if you don't know which two to get, you could just get a random two from Argos to save you having to decide.

Hmmm decisions. I go on holiday this month as well so I'm also torn thinking that I shouldn't be spending what little money I have left on Christmas pressies!
  • i got dd hamsters last xmas along with the house and some accessories, she loved the hammies but the house and accesories were cheaply made and flimsy imo so we go rid of them on ebay for her so she had the money instead..must have spent the same amount in electricity running my laptop tying to find them...lol....dd had asked me for the strawberry toy story bear, i havent seen exactly what it does yet but her friend has one, i am determined to only pay £35-40 for it if i can find one in stock..father chritmas is on a budget this year...i agree shop early...made that late mistake last year...
  • OK. In the last hour I have ordered a Chatimal & Lalaloopsy Crumbs Sugar Cookie doll for my daughter and a Perfume Factory for my niece. I had never heard of ANY of these before today, so thank you to all on the thread.

Not sure how they will go down, but determined to be ahead of the game, even if it does involve a little risk...

    Thanks again!
