Am I in any danger of losing out?

Hi everyone,
I hope this is the right forum to post this. I own a flat with a friend (50-50 tenants in common), in which we both live together but I am now relocating for work.
Because our mortgage is so low (BoE + 0.49%), we have agreed that he will keep living there and pay the full mortgage, and I will not have to contribute anything.
I just wondered though if there's any risk of my ownership being diluted if I'm not contributing to the mortgage for an extended period? Can anyone advise??
Thanks,
Mattias
