Edge Card - Replacement card?

Hey, My Edge card went missing - wasn't sure if I'd lost it or it had been stolen. I called them up and was told I could get a replacement in 10 days. That 10 days came and went. I called them about 14 days later after the first call and they cancelled my account and sent a new card out, which I was told would take 10 days again.

13 days later and there is still no card.

I called them on Saturday (the 10th day) and was told it was sent the day of my last call and I should wait a few more days for it.

Has anyone had problems getting replacement cards from Edge/Santander?

I have only ever used the card once after the initial account opening several years ago. I know some cardholders have been sent letters telling them they will not be getting new cards but I haven't received anything other than my statements. They also insisted the cards had been sent.

  • Called again today and was told I should have received them. Card cancelled another issued taking another 10 days. Anyone else had problems?

    I wonder if our dearly beloved Royal Mail has a hand in this kind of thing? The service in my area has deteriorated shockingly in recent weeks. No post at all for days on end then a big pile delivered all screwed up and torn at random times sometimes well into the afternoon.
  • I have been receiving mail as normal, infact even the statement for my Edge card has arrived. I have seen the postman everday for around the past 2 weeks.

    I've had Edge/Santander check my address and it's correct, its just rather pointless blocking my account again and sending another card without finding out why the cards haven't arrived. I haven't used the card in sometime so I could understand if they weren't going to issue me another but they are telling me cards have been sent.

    Actually my next Edge statement should arrive in the next week.
