I recently purchased a car from a car auction and i paid £100 deposit on my credit card (plus 2.5%), I paid the balance of £900 with my debit card, on my way home the clutch went in the car and so wasn't driveable, because the car 'was sold as seen' the auction have told me i have no comeback because of this and all they could offer me was to re-sell the car on my behalf. A friend has suggested I may be insured through my credit card as I paid the deposit of £100 on it, Could anyone tell me if this maybe so.
Many thanks,
Many thanks,

No, because the contract stated sold as seen, so the seller hasn't misled you in any way and has supplied the goods promised.0

I am of the same opinion as zx81.
You could however ring your credit card to see what they say.0
