Posh hotel suggestions

Hello people.
The boyf and I are looking to go away for 4 nights from the 3rd Nov. Its a bit of a treat for ourselves after working very long hours over harvest. We love this hotel www.peebleshotelhydro.co.uk but its a bit far to go for 4 nights. We are looking for something a bit closer (We're in Cambridgeshire).
Budget is £350 each and we like the countryside, national trust stuff, long walks, nice food, log fires and a swimming pool!
Just wondered if anyone has any favourite hotels they go back to and would recommend?
THanks

Stayed there on our wedding anniversary. Small hotel but it is beautiful. Right in the Cotswolds for walking and plenty to do in the surrounding areas. Our room was lovely, on the top floor with a chaise longue that you could sit at and just look at the view.
The hotel has lovely, well tended gardens and the spa is a separate building at the end - brand new. Some of the rooms are like little houses in the gardens - they look great. Two restaurants - a brasserie and a more formal one. We only ate in the Brasserie as it was a day that the other was closed, but it was still very good.
They often have offers on, so worth looking around. They do a lovely afternoon tea as welland breakfast in bed
Everything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

Can thoroughly recommend Cowley Manor. Quirky rooms, fabulous service, amazing grounds, and a lovely spa.0
