Post going missing?

I am looking for a bit of advice on how to complain to Royal Mail about my recent postal service.
I have noticed in recent weeks that packages have been going missing, not being delivered. Also the post always seems to be late and only gets delivered on certain days.
I have read in the past that you can complain to RM and they will send dummy packages to track them and see if they go missing.
I just wondered if anybody knows anything further about this.
I have looked on the RM website, but can only find complaints for items you have posted, not items you are supposed to receive.

i believe it is up to the sender to file a complaint of post going missing.."If you no longer go for a gap, you are no longer a racing driver" - Ayrton Senna0

There is a number you can call...I'm trying to find it at the moment in my mounds of phone numbers on tiny sheets of paper.
I didn't get any post for about 6 weeks last christmas including a letter which if it had ever turned up would have been the last letter I'd ever recieve from my grampy
They send you a huge amount of letters and packages to make sure they all get there and if they don't they go out of their way to sort you out (we have a new postman now)
Anyway I'll be back when I find it
I understand the concept of cooking and cleaning, just not how it applies to me:D0 -
