You don't need a Co-op near you. Mine is 20/30 miles away depending in which direction you go and I have only ever needed to go in there once since I had the account. You can make any deposits through the Post Office. Money can be withdrawn in any cash machine. You get telephone and internet banking. You can have DD's and SO's. All you do is telephone them to open an account, usually takes 7-10 days to be fully open.
Barclays will open an account after BR usually. They offer a Visa card and DD's and SO's. Obviously in branch for deposits. No telephone or internet banking.BSCno.87The only stupid question is an unasked oneLoving life as a Kernow Hippy0 -
And fear is just 4 letters that make a word :j Read feel the fear and do it anyway!davidgmmafan wrote: »Not something I've experienced but its civil court. Its NOT like 99% of court things you've seen on TV. Its sort of everyday law is the best way I can describe it, therefore things are pretty informal.
Its the impression of court on TV companies rely on to scare people when they threaten court action. Let us know how it goes, am sure you will be fine, left wondering what all the fuss was about.
There is nothing to fear but fear itself.
we were aeen by a clark no issues he just went through our SOA with us asked if we had taken sdvice and that we understood what we were doing, made sure everytihng was in order, he phoned the OR who asked us a few questions, told us to wait outside, ten mins later we walked out with our papers stamped, two weeks later we had a telephone interview and that was it. A few other questions have been asked but all in all nothing to get worked up about. You need 2 copies of your paperwork and your feeIf you woke up this morning congratulations, you have another chance :j0 -
One question, i bank with natwest at the mo, with no debts with them, i know about the freezing off my account, but need a bank account asap for money coming in, i don't have a co-op branch local to me so even tho i have debts with barclaycard, on friday once i am bankrupt can i open an account with barclays???
As soon as you come out of the court pick up the phone and ask the Coop for an account, explain you are BR and you should have no trouble. We do not have a coop local but they are fab, you can use the post office and you can use your card as normal to pay for things and to get money out of the hole in the wall. We use the internet banking which works just great you can pay your bills and nobody will know anything has changed give it a go and good luck for FridayIf you woke up this morning congratulations, you have another chance :j0
