Good morning
I've very recently had a Vaillant boiler fitted and just getting to grips with the controls on the thermostat/timer. I've read the instructions but they're not very detailed or clear or I am just a bit dim... I know how to use most of the functions/set them.
However, how can I ensure the heating only comes on during the programmed times? I switched it onto "automatic" which is the clock icon but this is not the correct setting for the timer. On automatic, the heating comes on when the house reaches a certain temperature. I'd like it to come on during the timed periods.
Please could anyone shed any light? it's prob obvious
Thank you.

You have 3 'on' periods with this programmer. H1, H2 & H3.
You tell then programmer what temperature you want in an 'on' period, but you also have to tell it what temperature you want in an 'off' period.
I always set the 'off' period to 6c to make sure it stays off. 'Off' is not actually off on these, it is just the temperature the room will be when it's off.
If your house temp fell below 6c then it will come on for a few minutes to bring the temp back up to 6c.0 -
Thanks for the tips... will have another go when I get home tonight. I thought I'd set it to come on this morning

Is there an icon that shows you the timer function is on? I've set the periods on H1, H2 and H3.0
