    Good evening all. :)

Congratulations on being debt free Pooky. I can understand it being bittersweet. I know you would give it all back a hundred times over to have your OH back on his feet. It's one thing less to worry about though and will hopefully give you a little peace of mind, so you can get on with dealing with the important stuff. How's he doing at the moment?

Oooh Sal, poor B. _pale_ I hope there's no permanent damage. Poor you as well; it must have been a dreadful shock.

    Beanie, are these any good?

I have had a lovely weekend. B came to stay, and the kids were here too, so he got to spend some proper time with them. They got on so well, the kids really like him and he thinks they are awesome. He said he already felt almost like part of the family, and that he would miss all three of us when he went home.

I really do miss him terribly and he has only been gone for a few hours.

Thanks Beanie and Elfen - thought that might be the case. Is it cruel to keep a cat inside all the time though?

Not if thats all the cat knows tenmah.

Tenmah - The thought of dealing with a litter tray from a house cat turns my stomach much more than a few dead things that they bring in now and then.

Snaggs - Glad you've had a nice weekend and it all went well with the kids. It's such a huge part of the way a relationship goes. The first time my DD's met DH, DD1 was 4 and said "hello, my name is A and I've got teletubby knickers on....look" and proceeded to show him....he was great and said he'd love some teletubby pants....She idolised him for that. :D

  • Tenmah, my cats were outdoor caats, and i found that when i lived in the country, yes, they brought back dead and alive 'gifts'. When i moved to town, they didn't catch much at all.

My old cat is now an indoor cat, due to blindness. As Elfen suggested, would your DD adpot an older cat who can't go outside? Also, she will need a litter tray, and my cat does have some stinky poos.... i'm in a studio flat so the tray is in the bathroom , but i still get the smell..._pale_

Probably best to call your local Cats Protection League for advise.

  • Ames, i'm sure you may be able to train an 'ordinary' dog to do things for you, like pick up items, close doors/drawers, etc.
