charity books from the internet?

Hi,

Can anyone suggest where I can buy books online where the money goes to charity?

I know oxfam have a good online book shop.

Canceresearchuk used to sell books on amazon, but I think they have stopped.

Thank you in advance :j

Some charities and voluntary groups may have a referral link from their website to sales on Amazon: obviously not ALL the money goes to charity but a percentage. I can't post the link because that would be a referral, but DH's charity has this which is how I know about it!

Thank you Savvy_sue. I didn't realise that not all the money went to the charity. I have never sold anything on Amazon - how much do they normally take? What does DH's charity mean?
  • If you have a particular charity you wish to support check if they're listed on easyfundraising.org.uk or if they're not get them to sign up (costs nothing). 2.5% commission from Amazon, 4% from WHSmith, 7% from Mills & Boon.

Insurance is a good one - if several supporters sign up for insurance - where several companies offer £30+ in commission - that's a nice chunk of money for a small charity.
A kind word lasts a minute, a skelped erse is sair for a day.

We may be talking at cross purposes: I've never sold anything on Amazon, but when I buy anything there, I use a link on the home page of the website of the charity DH (dear husband!) works for, which takes me into the main Amazon website but shows that it is a 'referral'. Whatever I spend, a percentage of it goes to DH's charity (ie the charity he works for).

You might find some sellers on Ebay are passing the proceeds to charity: I know that's possible.
