Perth Airport tx to city.

My daughter is travelling to Perth soon to start her year of travelling and working in Australia. Whilst she is very confident about travelling alone in a country she has never visited I am not! ( her dad blames me for bringing her up to be independant and outgoing)

Anyway, whilst I accept that she has to make the most of this brilliant experience I am concerned about her arriving in Perth alone at 1am after a long flight.

It seems that the airport shuttle buses stop running at 1am so she is unlikely to be able to use that- does anyone know whether it will be safe for her to take a taxi on her own from the airport? She will be making her way to a pre booked hostel in the city. Alternatively is there an airport hotel with a shuttle service than anyone could recommend for her first night?

Once she arrives and checks in at the hostel I will stop worrying (well maybe;))

My Brother lives in Perth and I have visited there many times in fact I am going on the 25th November until 18th January.
Perth is a great city and very safe. You need have no worries about her arriving at any time of day and travelling in a taxi on her own. I am sure that it happens day and daily.
As for airports near to the airport I will contact him and ask what is possible. Will get back to you.

Its good to hear that a taxi should be safe enough. My husband and I were in Oz earlier this year and didn't feel unsafe at any time but I think I just need a little bit of reassurance! I just wish she was arriving in the daytime.

I have had an email back from my SIL. She says it would be better just to get a taxi to the Hostel and safe enough. She says it is only about 10 minutes. There are not really any hotels around the Airport so would rule that out.
