ESA - Pathways to Work Interviews - How many?

Hiya,

I've been on ESA since October '09.

I have been to five 'Pathways to Work' Interviews between April '10 and the present.

Am I correct in thinking that I only have to go to six of these mandatory 'Pathways Interviews', or are they ongoing?

My worry is that I will no longer be able to attend these soon, as I may be going into a residential alcohol rehab unit.

Can anyone on here please confirm as to whether or not it is just the six of these interviews that I'll have to attend?

Also, I passed my ESA Appeal Tribunal Hearing last week, and so I'll now be entitled to the 'Work Related Activity Group' rate of ESA. So, I'm not sure if this affects the Pathways side of things.

Many Thanks,

Sim.

Have you notified ESA that you will be entering residential care in the near future? This *could* affect your entitlement to ESA.
    Gone ... or have I?

I think the PWIs are ongoing as they're designed to help you get back to work so it'd seem silly to stop them without a reassessment of your health.
If you cannot attend due to any reason you should inform your advisor as soon as possible so they can work round the problem and make sure you get the support you need.
As dmg24 said, you need to inform them about going into a residential programme anyway so it's definitely worth having a chat.

I've not had my first interview yet but though I've been placed in WRAG I cannot leave the house alone so was worried about not being able to make my PWI. I gave the advisor a ring and he's going to do the interview over the phone so they can be helpful if you tell them your problems in advance. Good luck with the programme :)

    Yes... it's 6.

After that you will only then attend after you have either passed your next medical, or in 3 years... whichever is sooner!!
Oops!! Should I have posted this??? Some users don't think I shouldn't be offering advice due to my occupation!!!
  • Thanks guys x
