My fiance and I are getting married in a few weeks. We're not making much fuss. Past experience has taught us that family get togethers are huge disappointment so we're just taking our immediate family for a (hopefully cheapish) meal.
Has anyone got any ideas about where we could go for something to eat. There will be two young children too, so somewhere child friendly would be useful.
Many thanks in advance.

Try HAMMER & PINCER'S
Superb food and service.
If you want cheap food there is a Crown Carvery not far away from Loughborough.

Hammer & Pincer's looks lovely but a bit pricy for what we're looking for.
Carvery looks great, but I forgot to mention that half the those coming are veggie, otherwise the carvery would have been ideal. Great price too.0 -
There are some good options in Quorn, between Syston and Loughborough: The Royal Chequers (Chinese), Quorn Exchange (Brit/Med), Ferrari's (Italian) and The Manor House at Quorn (Brit/Med). The Royal Chequers and Manor House have separate function rooms, not sure about the others.
Congratulations by the way!0 -
An update:
We went to the Flying Childers at Kirby Bellars on the way to Melton.
The food is always good and they had a 2 for 1 on mains available. £180 for 10 adults and 2 under 2s. Bargain!0 -
