  • Hi All, I've not been round much this weekend, Just been taking it easy. I think the last few weeks have caught up on me. As soon as I get in the armchair, woodburner glowing red hot and the dogs asleep at my feet then I just go straight to the land of nod.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Maybe it's just a touch of depression or the January blues, January is always a depressing month anyway.:(

Looks like I will have to give myself a kick up the proverbial, I'm still trying to get Mrs Handy to see that moving to another part of the country with no job on offer and a £900 per month rent is not in our best interest.

All she sees is a big house near the shops and thinks I will be able to earn enough (as always) to keep the place and a decent standard of living.
I'm well past my sell by date as far as earning the big bucks is concerned.
No wonder I'm not feeling at my best.

    Catch you all later.
    Regards, Handy.:D

  • Morning All, I didn't realise when I made my post last night that today is officially the most depressing day of the year.

I saw Martin :money: On the telly this morning repeating his message that he has never seen a debt that can't be sorted. Only guessing but I think we should get ready for an influx of newbies. If I'm right lets give them a warm welcome and be ready to steer them in the direction of the best advice, or at the least be on hand to offer encouragement.

    Regards to all, Handy.:D

  • Well, I've survived Blue Monday . Hope you have as well. Just had an email from an old mate who had a very large tax bill land [STRIKE]Crash[/STRIKE] onto his matt this morning. Seems Customs and Revenue and his accountant have cocked it up for the last 3 years and now they want the money back.:mad:

Lady Hooray got her water bill, over 1K for 6 months . I warned her that running the sprinklers 24 / 7 would cost her. I got blamed as we are on the same meter as the Hall, we must have being doing too much washing.:rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I could have told her about son trapfly who turned up at Christmas with 4 sacks of washing his first for 6 months due to touring with the Circus. I asked him if there were no launderettes in Ireland. :D

What he meant was there were none he wanted to pay for.
He's a Yorkshire Money Saving Expert. why pay for it when you can get mum to do it.

Cheers all, back in a while, Handy.:D
