Afternoon all, not been on much because of being at mum's. We had to take her into hospital on Wednesday night but she's a lot better now, I'm seeing her twice a day at visiting hours. It's kind of spoiled New Year and my birthday, but she's doing better now. I cant' see her coming off oxygen though.
Hope everyone had a good xmas and new year xUnless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -

Evening everyone
Hope you're all OK and not too hungover after the new year shenanigans.
Ames - just read your post about your mum. Glad she's doing better but it must be difficult for you. Thinking about you x
Handy - definitely a different class of hangover:DThe time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time

Hi Everyone,
Hope you are all well and enjoyed your new year's celebrations.
Let us all hope that this year brings more joy than the last.
Still no news about the car, because of all the bank holidays and it seems having a courtesy car isn't going to do us much good either as we won't be able to use it or park it anywhere:( Not only did it cost us £50 when it was delivered (why?) It appears we will have to pay the full congestion charge (£8 per day) and then claim it back later (don't trust that happening somehow they always find a way out) when ours is (hopefully) back on the road, thing is I can't afford £8 a day so therefore won't be able to use it during 7am-6pm, the next thing is parking as we have residen't permit bays I will have to buy visitor tickets at £15 for the 1st 10 days and £30 for every 10 days after that!! Rip off or what. I might have to resort to Boris's bikes:eek: and they don't come cheap either. Ah well there's always shanks's pony!!:D
Edit: Having just checked the website, the congestion charge is going up to £10 per day from 4/1, well Boris has got to make up the shortfall for scrapping the western extension somehow hasn't he. Grrr!!!I must stop procrastinating, I must stop procrastinating! promise I'll stop tomorrow OK:D

Oh BL, that's a right mess, you'd think they'd have a way round it, it must be a pretty common problem.
I was shocked last time I was in London to see a diversion that took people into the congestion zone, I bet they had to pay too.Unless I say otherwise 'you' means the general you not you specifically.0 -
