  • Hello Everyone :hello:

Just popping in to say hope you all had a nice Christmas.

Sorry haven't been around but too much going on at the moment. Latest was a car crash on xmas eve, OH driving and went to do a u-turn and didn't see the car coming up on the outside, luckily no-one hurt. Don't know if the car will be written off or not, that just about puts the icing on the cake for me for this year! Don't know how much more I can take.

Anyway I will wish you all a Happy, Healthy and Prosperous 2011 and hope you all have a good time on New Year's Eve.

Oh Dear BL - you will be happy when 2010 comes to an end as it has been terrible for you, and now this - at least no-one was hurt, which is a blessing

Hope that you had a good Christmas other than the car crash, and here's hoping for a better time for you and your family in 2011 hun

But do keep posting to keep us up to date and to have a rant, you certainly deserve a good rant right now and we are here for you petal, always remember that

The ebay coffee machine has been a disaster :(...firstly I asked her for the model no straight away so I could google instructions - no joy. Then when she said she wouldn't be able to post till today I asked for a refund (I stated I'd pay listing and paypal fees) and she waffles something about her partner having already transferred the money from paypal which I only half believe. Fuming I reply I don't believe that one and would be leaving poor feedback for which she accuses me of threatening her? Go figure...

Anyhow gotten a new coffee machine (£20 more than the ebay one) from Mr JL and it's fab. Compact and does the job nicely and am now having an interesting discussion re these things on the gaggia thread. The comment from Don I thought particularly good. He has ordered a gaggia (based on longevity and which reviews I think) but is having probs with delivery. Interesting and a good comment...

Mine might not last as long as the gaggia but it's not a bad brand and is compact, does good espresso and good froth and am happy with it and I was thinking of changing from the 'mars bar' (the Bodum Granos which is on it's last legs so I freecycled it:) this year anyways and spending upto £100...My new one was £50 :) plus £10 for the frothing jug (tried to froth in a china jug - no joy) and has all the features I need...

So smarting from the poor ebay communication but as Handy says - mother nature don't draw straight lines - though grateful for what I learnt with the Bodum machine about features. If the freecycle guy just learns that I'm happy (I'm fussy about whom I give stuff to on freecycle. He said he'd just gotten a grinder so he got it:))

Anyhow up at silly o'clock but not as silly as yesterday (an hour later) :)

Have pdoc today :p..yuck wish me luck
