It's been a hectic couple of days. Work as normal tomorrow for the rest, Sometime I will bring you up to speed on Handy's life over the last few days. It would even make the Emmerdale wedding look believable. :eek:

Only new year to get through now. That could be interesting. I would rather have my piles fixed without anaesthetic than go through the last few days of family bliss. :eek::eek::eek:

Ready now for a year of money saving, hangers on and dead wood has to go.

Morning all...explain this whoopsie spend for me? I have a perfectly good Bodum Granos espresso machine and following a call to the crisis line sometime ago about coffee I get it in2 my head that I need a Gaggia machine...

So why do I buy one and why @ 3am :eek: - like 3 this am? Like it looks okay but won't find out till I get it (can't find any instructions) and like has a huge milk thingy so the hot chocs are going to be on me... I know it's £30 but that's like over a week's food budget

Of course if it is rubbish (the only thing I really hate about the Bodum is the noise but has a lovely crema on top though is temperamental) I can give it to a few place like

• New Boyfriend when he gets me free laminate off his pa
• Shared Planet society @ Uni in desperate need of a new machine
• Charity shop where I got the £100 watch from for £6

But even so? :eek:...

I Know this impulsive wrecklessness is just the illness (yesterday I also had a whoopsie spend of a CK bag for £11 ) but I just wish it'd stop

PS. Diet is going well ..Down by 2lb yesterday and like yeah...going really well and got off the bus a mile early to Boyfriend's yesterday and had a nice walk

Erme - if the new machine is no good could you not sell it on ebay perhaps? try to recoup some of the money?

But spending in the middle of the night on impulse is not good - can't think of a solution - is there something else you can do instead to distract you? Shame you cannot have something like a time-lock safe and put your cards in there so you cannot access them.

Handy -sorry you've not had a good time with family. Hope you can stick to the resolve of focusing on yourselves and money-saving. Is Mrs Handy in agreement? or is she generally softer with the family than you?
