Good Evening All. It's freezing outside but in the Handy's nest it's Scorchio. The wood burner has been on tick over since 9.30 this morning.
I saw my mate Grizzly the lumberjack this evening and he's dropping off another ton of logs for me next week. That should last us until Christmas.
Erme, don't wobble, Chill. I got your email. You will do great at the job. Don't sweat it, just be yourself and I am sure that the old dears will love you. Working with the elderly if done with sincerity and a sense of humour can be both rewarding and theraputic. Keep us posted and good luck. My finger are crossed for you.
To all those whose OH's work away. My sympathies. I did it for years. It's hard on each side of a relationship. I used to drive 600 miles a weekend just to spend 36 hours at home.
I could never understand why companies would employ someone from miles away, while someone who was only a bus ride away would have to travel miles when both did the same job and had the same skills.
