seem to be much happier and less is getting me down which is always good! To be honest, my day wasnt too bad it was just very busy so I felt a bit frazzled but now I've eaten, had a brew and sat down for 20mins I feel much better and more chilled out!
I think the cat is kinda cute too...in a slightly odd way!!!
Look on the bright side Allie, i always say "when i'm busy, it keeps me outta trouble, and i'm not spending money!!"
Take good care.. {{Hugs}}handyman123 wrote: »It's slowly getting back to normal, Mrs H is gradually coming to terms with the loss of her mum. Some days are not so bad as others, but I fear it will be a while before the good days are back. At least with us being super busy for the last few weeks have helped.
The problem at the moment is she is so impatient to move back oop North,
I won't make any moves until I have a job lined up as I made that mistake once before (The main reason why Handy is here today). As good jobs are hard to come by at the moment I fear that we may be in scrumpy land for a while yet.
I'm P'd off at DD for putting emotional pressure on her mum by going on about needing her as a baby sitter.
Last week we put £230 towards grandsons nursery fees, cos she was skint. On Friday SiL was on my Lappy for 3 hours ordering 2 tickets for Take That at a cost of £165. Then he asked if we could go up North in January to look after the kids while whey go on a city break to Edinburgh for a long weekend.
I keep feeling at my leg to see if its wet, I get the feeling some ones peeing on it.
Sorry to go on, in answer to your question, we are OK, but I don't think I'm out of the woods yet.
regards Handy.
So sorry that people are taking the P lately Handy. I would have had to mention the fact that they can't find Nursery Fees yet can afford tickets for Take That. My child/ren would always come before going to a Concert.
Hopefully things will get on a more even keel soon.:)Well apart from the fact my advisor is going to phone them (pray she doesn't...she's not the nicest of folk)...I phoned the disability enquiry line and they just said I needed to check with the local office about what spreadsheets I have to hand in and stuff....it should be fairly regular work.....No holiday pay and sick pay though but am just doing it for experience then will look for something more secure...
It's not so much the social interaction as it's domestic cleaning and I'll mostly be doing it when folk are out at work but it'll be rewarding and I enjoy cleaning. I should also get it initially at least under the permitted work rules so I'll be £20 better off...but first things first - need to pay for the DM's I bought on the OD at the weekend because like I figured I would need decent shoes for work and I'd applied for so many things on the classifieds on Friday I knew I'd get something... It was a well known classifieds ad site. Seems folk are putting less of these low paid jobs in the paper and more online...worth knowing for job hunters...anybody want any more details pm me cos I don't think I can say on here..
Eventually I want to be cleaning at the hospital which is 1/2 hour walk from here and bus journey home. But that's wee while off. I could go for the psych hospital which is only about 10 mins walk but being a service user it's just too close to home (and also knowing a lot of the staff etc)...
Anyhow rome wasn't built in a day and I gotta start somewhere and I've not worked in over 10 years though done lots of vol jobs
E
Hopefully the job will go really well for you Erme, and then you can maybe get on at the Hospital.

Morning all, handy here.
I need my wet suit today, its time to sweep the fallen leaves off the bottom of the Garden pond (Lady Hoorays idea) and to prune the water lilies.:D
Sounds silly but the pond will be better for it. Lady H thinks it's only a mornings job, last year it took 3 days. It takes 2 days to lower the water level enough to get in to work. I will not be good company until its finished as I will stink of pond weed:mad::mad::mad: Its a smell that's strong enough to repel troll's.:rotfl:
I shall make sure I go into the big house to make regular progress reports:D

A new page time for one of these x
Over the last few weeks we have had a number of "troll" attacks on the boards.
What is a Troll?
A troll is a person that posts deliberately provocative, nasty or hurtful comments on threads. They may be a person with no previous connection to the board or someone that has created a pseudonym to get their point made. If you should get such a comment made on any thread you post, asking for help and advice, please realise this comment is not directed at you personally so please ignore these nasty comments and continue to post here as normal because the majority of us really are a lovely bunch – ooops, modesty!
What should I do if I get a comment made on my thread?
Firstly do not respond to the comment as this is invariably what the troll wants. So to get rid of the offending post, at the bottom of the post towards the right hand side you’ll see a red "Warning" triangle within a blue “Abuse” icon, as shown below:
Click the icon and then "send" the message which will inform the abuse team of the post, who will then review its content and deal with it as appropriate; sometimes even deleting the troll by making their status PPR’d (Posting Privileges Removed). Remember, this site is an asset to so many people, especially those that feels like their world is falling in around them. There is a wealth of knowledgeable people here all willing to help, whatever you do, do not let the comments of one silly individual deter you from availing yourself of the knowledge base that is on offer here.
PLEASE DO NOT LEAVE THE FORUM
It is testament to the work that Martin has done and continues to do that so many people give their time, knowledge and experience freely to others; without judgement, to lift people out of the depths of their debt crisis
