I am retired and got £1800. I only got it for the discounted use on their ships - does me fine.

Mother just got her Saga card through, £3,300 limit. She's not retired yet though although when she applied she had £4,000 debt and £5,000 available credit (ish) on £30K income.

Math... Total debt was 13% Salary. Total available was 17% Salary, including new limit total available is now 28% Salary - so an indebtness potential of ~40% income.

Whether Saga / AIB are happy for people to owe up to 40% of their annual income on their maths or this is sheer speculation is another matter but the figures fit.
