wmp - an error occoured

for some reason i cannot burn or copy any discs, ive tried burning straight from the laptop and ive tried many discs at copying and wmp just keeps saying - an error occoured, it will copy the first song then error the rest of the cd.

both of my laptops are doing the same, so is it something i have done wrong, and can i fix it?

Could be the discs you're using if they're cheapos.

Does WMP give you details of the error?

Have you tried turning your antivirus off when copying/burning?
