Hi Guys,
My partners as received a £54 deduction from her wage this month on the payslip it says involuntary court deduction and I aint got any idea what this is for we have received not letters or nothing whatsoever and as far as im aware we dont know anybody anything.
I dont have anything on my payslip.
What the hell can this be??
I have checked both of our credit reports and nothing on there from any ccjs
Im so so confused.
Her total wage was about 2200 before tax so little deduction but no idea what it is
Thanks,
Jonny

Sounds to be an Attachment of Earnings, I would imagine for unpaid court fines, parking tickets, council tax or something along those lines.
Another very common one is CSA but as it's a lady you speak off, I doubt it. (You never know though LOL)
This can also happen when an employer has failed to deduct an AOE and control has passed back to the courts, hence the word involuntary.....she must know something of this surely :-|"We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0 -
nope she doesnt i sort out all the finances and there is nothing it can be.
Why isnt there anything on her or mine credit reports cos surely there must be a ccj logged even checked the registry trust and nothing.
We have certainly had no post regarding this
Thanks.0 -
She needs to speak to the people in her wages department, they'll be able to tell her what it is for.0

If it were council tax, fines or something like a CSA payments, it wouldn't show on your credit file, that's reason I think this must be connected with something like that.
It could of course be a mistake but I must admit, it would be a big one. Her employer MUST have information on which court issued this as it's deducted from her salary, just not by them.
I came across this a few years ago when an employee has a cosy relationship with the employer and in the end, the court got !!!!ed of with all the shizzle and slapped an involuntary order on him.
Hope you solve it soon."We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0 -
she will be ringing them in the morning, also £54 is only about 2.5% of her wage will this just be a one of payment.
And why have i received nothing in the post regarding this
Thanks0 -
Yep, just a payment that the issuing court has decided is resonable.
No idea how this could happen really as you would be asked by the court to prepare an SOA so they could work out a fair payment. If your lady genuinely knows nothing about this the only people who can help is her employer.
I've just though another thing they do this for is overpayment of benfits or tax credit.
Is your partner part of the civil service?"We want the finest wines available to humanity, we want them here, and we want them now!"0 -
shes going to speak to her payroll tommorow, but why the hell have we not received any letters lol0

Only time I have heard a deduction named like that is student loans after cash when you have been earning more than £15,000 and not paying back ?In London, you're never more than 20 feet away from someone telling you you're never more than 20 feet from a rat .0

sorry didnt think my last message posted no she doesnt, I fully trust her just so confused lol, there is nothing owed and not received anything in post.
Must be serious tho for it to be court ordered so it will be just one payment not monthly for whatever it is0 -

might be nothing to do with court she could have to pay back expenses and someone in accounts put it down under the wrong codeIn London, you're never more than 20 feet away from someone telling you you're never more than 20 feet from a rat .0
