Housing Benefit/JSA

Hi,
My partner works full-time earning about 15k and I work part-time earning about 8k. Unfortunately my partners job is on a contract and they are not renewing it mid October. We have known for a while and have been frantically applying for everything and anything but no joy, we still have 2 weeks so fingers crossed, anyway, if worst comes to worst and he doesn't find anything he will have to sign on for JSA and I think it will probably be contributions based (Not that I know the difference between Contributions and Income based), will we get any housing benefit?? I've checked on the entitled to website and there is no mention of it, just council tax benefit.
Thanks

Contribution-based Jobseeker's Allowance
Jobcentre Plus can pay this for up to 182 days. It’s based on how much National Insurance you have paid in the last two tax years. Generally, self-employed contributions will not help you qualify for contribution-based Jobseeker’s Allowance.
Income-based Jobseeker's Allowance
This is based on your income and savings. You may get this if you have not paid enough National Insurance contributions (NICs) (or you've only paid contributions for self-employment) and you're on a low income.
From your previous posts I notice you have 2 children. Not a 100% sure but I suspect when you add all your income together you won't be eligible for HB. Your wages + child tax credits + working tax credits + your partners JSA.*SIGH*0
