Buying a laptop...

Hello,

I’m looking to buy a mid range laptop around the £500 price range. The two models I’m looking at are as follows:

http://www.comet.co.uk/comet/html/cache/572_337307.html

http://www.play.com/Electronics/Electronics/-/305/390/-/1099090/Sony_Vaio_FS515H_15_4_Widescreen_Laptop/Product.html?searchtype=genre

Before I buy, I’d like a second opinion. Looking at the two models, the trade off would appear to be that the Sony has a larger hard disk but less RAM. I’ll be using the laptop for internet, entertainment and games (probably only football manager!)

I look forward to hearing your opinions.

Thanks,
Paul

Sony one is better, IMO, adding 512Mb extra RAM should you need it will set you back less than £50.

However, if you have Virgin credit card you can buy comet vouchers for 13% off which would make the £500 laptop £435, which could sway your decision slightly (or add to your budget).

Either would be suitable for your needs :)
