Final Value Fees....Please Help!

Hello!

2 items I sold on ebay, the buyers pulled out of paying for them! I have since relisted these and they have now sold (and been paid for this time!!)

The problem I have is, I have deleted the original listings for these items and have noticed that the Final Value Fees are still on my account?

I can't seem to retrieve the deleted items, so was wondering 1. Will ebay realise that I've only sold each item once and credit my account or 2. Will I have to contact ebay to rectify??

Any comments greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Licious xx

Debt 1 = £700 - 1% = £7.00 - 28% :j
Debt 2 = £500 - 1% = £5.00 -33% :j
Debt 3 = £1900 - 1% = £19.00 - 2%
Debt 4 = £8000  - 1% = £80.00 - 0.5%

You do not get your FVFs repaid, nor do you get any credit for the relist unless you go through a full NPB on the initial winner.

If you are still in time, and can find the original listing you need to open an Non paying bidder case against the original buyers, then close it after 4 days. However you do run the risk then that they pay and you have no longer got the item to sell them.

If you do decide not to risk an NPB or you are out of time then you pay both sets of listing fees and both sets of FVFs and all the buyers, including the non payers cna leave you feedback.

For future reference if someone doesn't pay open an nPB on them around day 4-6 (it can be opened on day 4) and close it 4 days later. Only then should you relist or go out to a second chance bidder.

  • Hi soolin, thanks for your reply.

I now have another query though....one of the 2 items I mentioned, the winning bidder has given me negative feedback???!!!!!

They state 'not as described' arrrrrggghhhh! I have put a note on to say 'bidder never paid as said couldn't affod it! Never seen item'

Is there any way I can get this feedback removed/changed??

    Thanks,

Not unless you go through the NPB dispute and get her a strike for her pains.

That's why NPB are so important, not only to reclaim your fees but to stop these time wasters. Crowqueen is quite correct, you would need to complete an NPB to get rid of the feedback, if you still have time.

  • Ok thanks.

Does it make a difference that I've already re-sold the item??

It makes me even more mad because the original auction ended on 17th Sep and they emailed me to say they couldn't pay until 23rd (Thurs). I was really nice and emailed back saying I would post it after receiving cleared payment....But then they said the couldn't afford it because they hadn't received their child benefit through????!!!!!!!!!

If I open a NPB, what will happen?

    Thanks,

Sounds like you've been had, one way or the other. If you force them to pay, you'll have to send them the item, and I guess you'd end up with no item and no money through a dispute, these types probably know all the rules and how to take advantage of them.

Pity, you were nice to them and they were nasty in return.
