Balance Transfer

Hi, looking for some advice
I have just applied for BOS credit card to do two balance transfers, no instant decision was made and thay advised i would hear in 10 days time
I have just viewed my credit report on line and i have two missed payments from tesco. This was a mistake in their part and they advised me that they would remove these but they have not done so.
I know this may affect the banks decision but given that i bank with them, my mortgage is with them will they take this into account

Those late payments on your report will not play in your favour but if they decline you then you could try to appeal by explaining tesco mistake...and you should be chasing tesco and lodge a complaint.

Thanks for that, i contacted them last month to lodge the complaint and they advised that they would get removed etc
Given that my mortgage ,current AC is with them, no payments ever missed.Never had overdraft etc will this be taken in çto consideration.

It should but probably would have been best to apply in a branch as they would have known if pre-approved for any of their products....

    terrible eh
  • You still probably stand a good chance but why don't you give them a call on Monday, they might be able to give you an update on your application....that will all depends on how long you've been with them and how is your credit history in general. For future reference, always best to check your credit report before applying for any kind of product to ensure that everything is in tip top order and avoid any disappointment
