Techie advice - which E-reader?

Hello guys
I have a Sony E-reader, which I love, but it's been playing up like heck and I've had to ask them to replace it. Unfortunately, my model (PR505) is now out of stock and I have a choice of a PR600 (retailing at £179 on the site or £199 on Amazon ) or a repair.
I don't want a repair as it started playing up about 5 months in and I don't want to just cover up a long term problem.
So - do I go for the PR600 http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-eBook-Reader-Touch-PRS-600/dp/B002R5UYXY/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1285440384&sr=8-1 or ask for a refund and buy another PR505? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Sony-PRS505S-PRS-505-perfect-digital/dp/B000WPXQ2M/ref=sr_1_2?ie=UTF8&s=electronics&qid=1285440384&sr=8-2
I got the PR505 in a sale for £149, when most places were selling for £200odd and the only other place I've found is on Amazon who are currently selling the PR505 for £225.
I'm paralysed by indecisiveness
and welcome any thoughts; I seriously am in love the reader and will never go on holiday again without one.
thansk in advance guys:)

Look at this post as a starter here.
What's the problem with your 505, i have had mine for 18 months and it is still as good as ever. I got mine from play.com for £149 . It seems a lot of folks are recommending the Kindle 3.
Edit: Sorry just re-read your post, I would suggest the 600 is ok my brother in law had one last Christmas and is going well and he likes his more than mine.4.8kWp 12x400W Longhi 9.6 kWh battery Giv-hy 5.0 Inverter, WSW facing Essex . Noooooooo to the Kindle - I need to be able to read pdfs and work stuff without being reliant on another website.
I also like the ability to own / control the books once I have them and email them to myself or others for info:)"This is a forum - not a support group. We do not "owe" anyone unconditional acceptance of their opinions."0 -
New kindle can do pdfs and you can own/control/manage your books yourself. You're not reliant on "other" websites for stuff.0
