free meeting space for charity
Hello, I have set up a small charity called 'Aching Arms'. We offer support to bereaved parents who have lost a much wanted baby. We arrange for cuddly teddy bears to be given to maternity wards across the UK to bring comfort to a bereaved mother's aching arms in those awful empty days and months that follow such a tragic loss.
We are holding our first Trustees meeting and AGM on 23rd October and as our funds are very small right now we need a FREE meeting space that is private.. as it will be an emotional meeting.
Does anyone know of a meeting venue in central London that we could use for half a day? or can anyone donate a room to us? we are expecting 10-15 people so we don't need a big space and we don't need catering.
If you can help please let me know,
thank you for your time.

have you thought about approaching some churches to see if they have a room you can use?0

Can any of the central London hospitals help? Presuming their maternity wards will have benefitted from your charity..................
....I'm smiling because I have no idea what's going on ...:)

Definately ask a local church - if you were in our area there would be no problem at all and I'm sure other churches will feel the same. Don't dismiss the idea if you don't go to the church - we are here for everyone in the community - whatever the reason - good luck with finding a room and well done for the service you are providing.0

Hi, this is a great cause. Have you visited glowinthewoods? They can't help with space but might be able to advertise your charity and/or forge links with you.0

Try contacting charities that own their premises particulalry if they only operate in the day like an Age Concern lunch club or a CAB as they may be prepared to help0

I am a bit concerned that you are holding an AGM without ever had held a trustee meeting! What advice have you taken regarding trustee roles and responsibilities and good governance?0
