I have to recover some delted files off an old PC (windows 98) before it is given / thrown away.
Anyone with any ideas for freebie fully functional software?
I have done various searches and keep coming upi with "demo versions" or resrticted use - ie only one file per day can be recovered.

I am a debt counsellor working in the voluntary sector - we don't charge our clients for the work we do!

Don't install the software onto the drive that you want to recover from as the installed files may overwrite the already deleted files (i.e. the install files may be put onto the same area of the hard disk that the deleted files used).0

A very kind fellow :money: told me to down load "PC Inspector File Recovery" to retrieve photos that I had deleted from my camera memory card. It worked a treat.
