...I only started comping a little over 2 weeks ago, and this is my first big win so I am very excited :j Thank you muchly to SeaAngel for posting this great comp!!

Well done:T, I'm still trying to win one as another MSE'r donated their win to me - I feel like I should pass on the favour!
Hope you have a good time:D0 -
Some MSE tips for you, have a good time.
Cut and pasted
Buy yourself a travel kettle, tea and coffee run at about £2/3 a cup so at around a tenner to buy one it would pay for itself in one trip (dont forget an adaptor)
Food is really expensive too, Have a good meal at lunchtime at home and take a picnic for your tea on board. If your in Newcastle at lunchtime, stand with your back to Central station, go down to the right and across the double road there is a Weatherspoons, its a
Really old building so you have to really look for it.
Your prize will be bunk beds but you can upgrade to side by side beds, if you want to do this, ring them up to do it. On the phone it will cost you £10 or so,
if you wait till you are on board its £20 each way. My oh and i didnt realise this to start with, too old for bunk beds so we dragged the top matress down to the floor for the night.
Amsterdam is also expensive so you have to decide whether to have your main meal in town or on board, check out prices on the way over.
(The baguettes in Amsterdam are wonderful)
The boat sails about 6pm and doesnt dock till next morning. And by the way, wrap up warm if you
are going up top. no matter how warm it is on land, at sea its a different matter altogether.
My OH and i go every six months, Usually March and September, this is when the special offers are, the buy one get one free. We are going this weekend and both of us got a double bedded cabin, transfers to Amsterdam all for £79 which when youre a smoker and go for a stock up it pays for itself.
It isnt a cheap weekend by any means ( i won one of these a couple of years ago and its just amazing how much money you can get through) but with a few tips from MSE you can save quite a bit.
When we went the entertainment was truly excellent in the Show Bar. If you ever get the chance have a mini cruise on the P&O from Hull, They knock DFDS into a cocked hat.
You'll have a great time. One more tip. Go on a boat tour, you will see much more of Amsterdam than you will walking, i think its only about a fiver but worth every penny.
Dont know where you are in the country but there is a bus every day around 4pm from Central Station in Newcastle to the Ferry Terminal at North Sheilds fare is about £3.50
You'll have fun, its a brilliant city.
But watch your purses/bags.
make the most of it, we are only here for the weekend.
and we will never, ever return.0 -
