Car Insurance and Heart Problems

I recently had a heart attack (at 37!!!) and am fully aware that I need to stop driving for about 4 weeks, but was wondering about the need to inform my car insurance providers.
I was told that I don't need to inform the DVLA and had read somewhere that if you don't need to tell the DVLA, you don't need to tell the insurance company. Does anyone know if this true? And if it isn't, whats the likelihood of them hiking up my premiums?
Cheers in advance guys and gals
