Boiler in rented house

Hi all, me and my partner rented a house back in May and when we first moved in the boiler wasnt working properly, was loosing pressure and the downstairs radiators wernt working. The landlord came round a few times with his uncle or someone who was a plumber to sort the problem out, but didnt. Got the letting agent involved who got the landlord back out. By this time the nicer weather was with us and we didnt need the heating, but landlord assured us it was fixed and everything did seem to be ok. Its not been used since, but i put the heating back on today and noticed that the boiler is loosing pressure again, radiators not very warm along with hot water. With it been a repeat issue can i ask for an independant plumber to come out via the letting agent or do i have to make do with my landlord and his uncle?
Thanks.
Thanks.

Is the Landlord or his Uncle GasSafe Reg'd ? If not then they are not only breaking the law but also putting you and your families lives at risk?0

Have you tried bleeding the radiators as if there’s trapped air then it needs to be let out. To do this turn the little nut on the side of each radiator a bit but don’t take the nut off, just turn it a bit. If there’s no trapped air then just a bit of water will come out. If there is trapped air you’ll hear it hissing out until eventually a bit of water comes out which lets you know that all the air’s gone. Might be all it needs if you’re lucky. A fair few radiators need bleeding from time to time and some more than others.0

I agree with bleeding them yourself (if they are older radiators a bleed key can be bought from Morrisons for 99p down the 'Car aisle', if new ones you only need a flat head screwdriver) but if it is an older system have something to catch water / gunge with, you dont want to lose your deposit over a stain on a carpet you cant get rid of0

Has the LL left you an instruction booklet for the heating system?0

Will need a bleed that would be why the radiators are not getting warm there all full of air. That could just the problem but most likely there a leak is the system letting air into it.
Have you got a Gas safety certificates?0 -
As MankySteve said if the boiler is losing pressure there is probably a leak in the system.0

Assuming of course it is a gas boiler. OP doesn't say.0
