Hi,
does anyone have any advice on the virgin money Bonds And Gilts ISA.
http://uk.virginmoney.com/virgin/isa/bonds-and-gilts/more-info.jsp
I'm looking to invest from £1 to 1,000 and get some profit back.
How much do you think i will earn on say £1,000?
Thanks,
Jack

It's an investment so it completely depends on loads of things.
If the economy is still stable and you invest for 3-5 years +, then I reckon you'd get around 4-5% return yearly. But thats a guesstimate...Remember
Bonds and gilts are different to saving in a risk-free deposit account. Their value and the interest they pay out can go down as well as up and there are no guarantees you’ll get back the full amount you invested. To maximise your chances of a good return you should be looking to invest for at least five years. As always, past performance isn’t a guide to the future.0 -
I used to think Virgin were very good at everything they did but when it came to investing I never earned a penny from the unit trusts I bought from them. I think they only had two anyway.0

Virgin ISAs are poor value for money and the funds they offer are poor quality.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0
