'Unclaimed' payment by supplier - 'Charge Back' required...

Ok, anyone else experience this?

My Wife bought some clothes from a catalogue / internet clothing supplier (this company name rhymes with 'Foden'...). She can see the total amount for the goods has cleared from her (Barclays) account, but (rhymes with Foden...) are still chasing her for the money. It seems at about the time of the money leaving her account, the supplier had a problem with their payments system and they 'have not been paid' for the goods. The supplier has suggested that my Wife arrange a 'charge back' for the amount with Barclays.

I have not had to do this before - anyone else experienced this? it's been well over a month since the funds left my Wife's account...

Thanks.

  • Why not get your wife to print off a copy of her statement and send this to the catalogue people?

She then has 2 options - wait for them to send the goods out or get the order cancelled and get a refund.

I would get the catalogue people to sort it out.
