Hi,
My laptop has given in the past week and I'm looking to purchase a new one for christmas. I am looking for a bargain really, i'm looking in the range of 450-550. I ideally would like a decent processor with 320gb hdd+ and 4gb ram. I'm not massively fussed about the graphics card as I don't play games on my laptop its more just for music/entertainment. I quite like the samsung r580 but it's a bit pricey. I am also interested in Dell, do they actively update there sales? And would it be better to wait just after christmas or befofe christmas to buy?
Any advice would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks!

How about a Samsung R530 with an i3 processor, 4GB RAM and a 500GB HDD? It's on Amazon for £533.44 with Free delivery.0

In that price bracket I always recommend Acer laptops. Main reason is that they are well built despite what some say - I have had and bought over a dozen of them and they have always been excellent. Also the accidental damage warranty is excellent value at £90 - compare that to £10 a month for 3 years cover at Currys/Comet etc.
