New Laptop

My old Dell has finally given up the ghost(well almost I can still get power on it) so I am looking for a new one only used for surfing the web currently researching my family tree, sending email etc,no gaming but want a reasonable spec for about £400,can anyone one offer any recommendations.
I would also be interested to know if there is any way to transfer whats on my current hard drive onto my new one by the easiest means(I don't really want to have to re-install everything).
Thanks

£369 inc VAT. Grab that warranty pack too and you're good to go for 3 years cheap computing.

In your price range Acer are hard to beat IMO. As mentioned there, I have bought and recommended them to family and friends and nobody has ever been disappointed. I also had cause to claim on the warranty after I spilled wine all over mine - they collected and returned by courier and had it back to me within 6 days even over a bank holiday weekend. Best £90 you can spend.
