This company is bogus!
they called me on the 16th or 17th September (i cant remember exactly)they rang to tell me my warranty was due to expire - im not with them, im with Sky Protect, i told them this and that was the end of the call. I checked my bank this morning and they have taken £25 without my consent and set up a Direct Debit. I hjave spoken to the company, i called the 0151 number first but was answered then cut off straight away, this happened 3 times so i called hte 0845 number and was pout through to a girl who helped me, she gave me the email address to complain, as all calls are recorded.
I have asked for a reasonable explanation as to why this happened, and i would like my reply with 7 days or im taken it further.
Please be aware of the company. they are a scam!

Sorry, I don't understand, how did they get your bank details?0

It's not satellite protection you should be worried about. It's self-protection. You had to be party to the setting up of a Direct Debit: they're not just conjured out of thin air like Sky Sports.0

Every post you have made on MSE is about money that someone has "taken" from you - do your parents know you are out on your own ??0

The problem seems to be that the poster isn't a money-saving newbie, as described in the posting ID, more like a money-losing expert. I did think the rampaging bank account situation (left unattended for five months) was pretty bad but now that this lady and her husband are suffering from Direct Debit charges of which they know nothing (nor how their bank account / bank sort code became public knowledge) it does seem the level of help needed is getting beyond anything possible via MSE.0 -
Because if you read my OP my cover was up for renewal. I was with them last year but when they wanted £80 before someone would come out to look at my faulty Sky+ box i cancelled, as wehn i set up with them first time i was told BY THEM that they were SKY PROTECT!! I found out they weren't and cancelled. then i had a call from them saying my cover was up for renewal, i declined to enter into an agreement with them and ended the call. They had my details on file.0

This forum is about helping people ...... is it not?moonrakerz wrote: »Every post you have made on MSE is about money that someone has "taken" from you - do your parents know you are out on your own ??0 -
Sorry but people on these forums are not psychic, in your OP you state ' im not with them, im with Sky Protect', now you tell us 'I was with them last year' so you did give them your bank details, how are they bogus and a scam?
Did you not think to write to them to cancel and then cancel the direct debit with your bank, this forum is about helping people but it would seem that the only help you need is from yourself.0
