Lower quote on item, does shop have to honour this please?

I had a price quote on a mobility item a few weeks ago. I didnt get it then because I wanted to think about it and get the money together. The lady gave me one of the shops cards and wrote on the back of it, the price, the item number, the size and wieght of it and her name. She seems to be the only person working there most of the time.
I have now found out that it looks like the lady made a mistake on the price, it seems she might have quoted me for the item size below this one I need. The difference is £105 so much more than I was first quoted.
I found out because someone phoned the shop for me yesterday about the product and they were quoted the higher price and the price for the item size below was exactly the same as the lady quoted to me on the back of the shop card so I think she made a mistake.
The lady in the shop does not know that I am now aware of this as the person phoning yesterday did not mention my name. What I am wanting to know is how much chance do I have of getting the item at the price quoted to me on the card as my daughter has offered to go and pay for it today and take the card with the price quote on it with her. The shop does have to order it in though, it wont be in stock

They may have changed their prices in the meantime, in which case - tough, you've missed out!
OR they may have done you a special deal, which is why when someone else rang, they got a different price. In which case - great!
There's only one way to find outSquirrel! If I tell you who I work for, I'm not allowed to help you. If I don't say, then I can help you with questions and fixing products. Regardless, there's still no secret EU law.
Now 20% cooler0 -
Zero chance.
You can't hold up some random scrawlings on the back of a fag packet and hold them to it (even if the fag packet if the back of one of their cards)0 -
I don't think it was a special deal I think they made the error of giving the price for the size lower of the same item and I don't think it wouldnt go up £105 in a few weeks.
I just wanted to be prepared before daughter goes in today, if they do have to honour it they may give us us the impression they don't have to so wanted to know if there are any rights for us here
I think its worth a try though anyway, it either works or it doesntThanx

They don't HAVE to honour it, but they MAY as a goodwill gesture. But go in nicely - if you do what lots of people do and start quoting your "rights" then you'll get nowhere.0

Not sure but I don't think they have to honour a genuine error. Maybe the lady thought you wanted the smaller size and that's what she quoted for.
Try your luck and see what their policy is.Beth

Yes. In fact, all shops should sell items at a loss because that is good business sense....0
