Help OS-ers, the eczema on my hands has flared up recently & I'm struggling to find a washing up liquid that doesn't make it worse. I used to use tesco/asda own, but now can't, can't use fairy either, or tesco's version of ecover. Am now trying tesco value as I assume its just more watered down. I know i can use surcare (which my Tesco doesn;t stock anymore) but I was just wondering if anyone can recommend any others ?

Did you see Anthea made her own with soap flakes, vinegar etc. Wonder if that would work ok Cannot remember the quantities but it is on a thread somewhere on here.Saving in my terramundi pot £2, £1 and 50p just for me! :j0

2 ltrs boiling water, 2/3 drops tea tree oil, 8 gm soap flakes, 8 gm of soda crystals. Mix and put in soap dispenser. Also 1 tablesp vinegar
Think this is the one you need - copied from Doddsys posting. Looked good and she put it in a pump dispenser and it was white liquid. Use lux flakes I presume. Think I will try this one tooSaving in my terramundi pot £2, £1 and 50p just for me! :j0 -
Erm - washing up gloves
Having said that they need regular washing too, otherwise the insides become rather minging. Might not help with your eczema after all.
I have several pairs and use fresh every day. I turn them inside out, bung them in the WM, dry in the line, turn right-side-out and then sprinlke baby talc in them. Hmmm.... I must get a life :rotfl:
Edit: They're worn not just for washing up, also for cleaning where hot water & Stardrops are involved.
You cannot live as I have lived an not end up like me.
Oi you lot - pleaseGIVE BLOOD

sorry forgot to mention I can't stand rubber gloves - ewww - just one of those things !!! (Have tried them before tho) I might try Anthea's version tho - will go looking for soap flakes first. I though the tesco version of ecover would be ok but alas no ! Dunno why they've suddenly gone like this but its a pain in the neck0

I have sensitive skin and can't wear marigolds! But Boots do a sensitive PVC (or something not normal rubber) gloves that are lined with fluff and they are much better and don't aggravate my eczema on my hands.working on clearing the clutterDo I want the stuff or the space?0

Wilkinson's also do a sensitive type glove which have no flock lining. I suffer with eczema on my hands and these have been fine for me!Mum to 2 cheeky little monkeys!Usborne Books at Home Organiser0
