  • It's horrendous around here - I think I've seen one or two people actually pick up after their dog in the three years we've lived in the area, but most of the time they just wander off. I really wish I had the balls to say something, but we're unfortunately in a roughish area with unpredictable locals.
The worst thing for us is trying to navigate a buggy with my youngest in and my 5 year old daughter through large piles of poo every morning. I let LO walk home the other day, and within a few minutes, she'd bent down to pick a conker up and covered her hand in poo.
There's a plot of land opposite our house where upwards of 10 dog owners a day let their pets crap freely in the grass and leave it there, I've considered taking photos but I think it would be too obvious where they were taken from :(

I have to say, I've seen loads of dogs do it in the street, but I have never ever seen anyone change their kid's nappy on the pavement, and I've never seen them come out of their home, and chuck one down the street either.

We have a dog so I always have some poo bags somewhere in my pockets, so if I see another dog owner not pick up then I ask them if they've run out of dog bags as they are welcome to have one of mine (I say this nicely not sarcastically :p)

I've never yet had someone refuse to pick up, they've always looked a little shifty, thanked me for the bag and picked up.

I've never seen a nappy on the street here but unfortunately there is plenty of dog poo.

Agh! It's been getting on my nerves! Walking to uni this morning and it was like playing dodge the dog poo. It's disgusting and doesn't take two minutes to clear up, even my mum with her walking stick picks up the dog's poo (not with the stick, by bending down and getting it....she'd need a special dog poo stick otherwise)

I do it all because I'm scared.

I think its disgusting surely if you have a dog you take on the responsibilities of clearing up after it, my dad lives in a block of flats disgusting druggie upstairs with the typical dogs that go with it (even though she is banned from keeping dogs but they never do anything to enforce this even though my dad has tried numerous times. Anyway she barely takes her dogs out for a walk so obviously when it comes to walkies time the poor things are so desperate they have to go in the communal stairway - my dad has been told that to get anything done he has to have a photograph of the dog doing its "business" on the stairway with her holding the leash to acknowledge the ownership - now i guess a click then run thing would be somehow possible but she threatens my dad all the time she only stopped when i went up to her door and started mouthing off.

Luckily she didn't try anything, i have a gob on me and can use it so long as i know the person is not going to start anything as i have never even tried to fight in my life (not even as a kid).

I have had to clear up her dogs mess as my dad cant as he starts almost being sick and probably would be sick if he had to do that and he has arthritis in his legs so cant really bend down very easily.

Why should i have to clear up after some druggies protection dogs but yet i would get fined if i dropped a cigarette butt on the ground in front of a police officer? Do the police actually have the power to fine dog owners i have seen people who have dogs doing a number 2 in front of police officers and not picking it up but yet they do nothing.

But most of all there is no words to describe how fed up and disgusted i am at having to scrape it off my sons shoes - what do i say to him no dont run, walk so you can see if your going to step in some dog poop?

Sorry for the rant about poo but seriously gets on my nerves!!!
