Alliance Leicester - Current Account ( Interest ? )

Just opened this account recently and deposited £501. Just wondering is the interest paid annually or monthly on the premier direct current account?
I previously was with the Halifax and its paid interest on the balance at the end of every month so thought Alliance Leicester would be the same.
Can anyone clarify.
