Noisy neighbours-THE REVENGE

How are they noisy? Are they tenants or home owners?
There are different ways of dealing with them and it's easier if they are tenants unless they are the feral kind.
Edited to say:
For example:
1. One of my friends got their noisy neighbours evicted.
2. My noisy neighbour nearly got evicted by me. She was saved by modifying her behaviour. She use to play loud music between 12am and 4am.
3. When someone complained about me and a flatmate being noisy, the LA moved a drummer into the building and they moved out. The issue was poor sound insulation in the property and the fact that the couple worked random shifts so couldn't cope with people living 9-5 lives.
4. Another friend of mine just got their neighbours to turn the noise down and they complied. Oddly enough quite a few people will.
5. One of my nephews' plays musical instruments including the drums. The neighbours don't mind as long as he plays them early evening as he can actually play them. They didn't actually need to ask his parents enforced it.
6. Another one of my neighbours I just woke up at 6am a few times a week when I went to work by getting a loud alarm. She learnt not to be noisy in the night that way.I'm not cynical I'm realistic

Have you actually had a polite friendly conversation with them to ask if they could keep the noise down a little bit, as the insulation is so poor?
Some people honestly have NO idea they're noisy and can be heard!
My next door neighbour's son has flat feet, and I can hear him stomp up and down the stair case, even though it's at the opposite side of the house. I can also hear their TV in the evening. Doesn't really bother me though, and I'm sure if it really bugged me, then they'd just turn it down if I asked.
Besides, I'm about to have a screaming baby...
If you've already tried asking them nicely, then I suggest you buy yourself a trumpet on ebay and teach yourself! There is nothing worse than the sound of a sploinky learner trumpet player! (I play trumpet, so am well aware how loud and annoying they are...)Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')
No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)0 -
Or a small child learning to play the violin.
Some friends of mine were terrorised by their upstairs neighbours whose child was encouraged to practice his violin-playing at 7am every weekend morning, amongst other things. They've moved now, thank heavens.
OP, it's all very entertaining imagining what hell you can unleash on unfriendly and inconsiderate neighbours but think about what it would be like fighting WWIII with them indefinitely.0 -
I lived in a basement flat, a conversion. My upstairs neighbour was a med student and needed an early start. He woke up at 6:30 every day with a load radio alarm clock. After a few days of this I asked him to not play his radio so load so early in the morning. His only reply was "it's my alarm-clock" I asked if he could get a regular alarm clock his reply "it's my alarm clock".
Next morning I set my alarm for 5:30 and turned my stereo on full blast. I never heard another peep out of him0 -
I have tried talking to them,no good,i have tried the owners of the flat as the people living there are tenants, they supported us until they issued a final warning and when we complained again they said they would take no action(too much hassle to get them removed i guess),also tried the management company who just pass on our complaints to the owner(useless). So now is the time to do it ourselves,i have tried every legit way of doing it and now i want REVENGE,REVENGE,REVENGE,HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!0

I thoroughly recommend playing Norwegian black-metal full-blast at about 4.30am. Even more amusing would be to start playing it about 30-45 minutes after you know they've gone to bed.
WARNING! Expect reprisals of the worst kind imaginable. The chums I talked about earlier were troubled by their upstairs neighbours "accidentally" flooding their bathroom every time there was polite discussion about the nuisance they were causing. Just think about the hell these a-holes could put you through. Some of these a-holes might not be averse to causing you or your property real harm rather than just a bit of noise-nuisance.0 -
Our neighbours cockerel used to cause us great distress and annoyances. It would crow from 4am till 9pm. It did that for four weeks, despite numerous complaints the lady wouldn't do anything because she "Couldn't hear it", but the rest of is could. Well we did, until i dug the old air-rifle out the loft.
Not clever... just a bit pathetic that you think it's great to take pot shots at a neighbour's pet.:hello:0 -
